Before I head out today, my thoughts focused on Peter. Who is Peter? Why was he the pivotal character in GEL?
Peter was the foundation for the entire book because his names means that..lol...He is the rock that the church will be built on..and the gates of hell won't be able to prevail.
Peter is the sounding voice of Father God in this book to many people who do not know them for themselves. He is the person, the man, that comes to a place and changes the very atmosphere because he allows Jesus to flow through him.
What does this mean? It means that when others just allow life to beat them over. When others give over to negative thoughts and temptations...Peter chooses in most cases to think about what Jesus would do in each situation.
He choose to believe that God knows more than he does in how to resolve a situtation.
He knows there is nothing wrong with having feelings or emotions, but it is a bad thing to act off of them.
Anyone and everyone can snap off or become angry, bitter, or even sad over a problem...but Peter decides to take the higher road.
So for me and my house, today I will exemplify the character of Peter who follows Christ....
I will not be offended in the small stuff.
I will not loud mouth and talk all day about how someone did me wrong
I will not pollute other people with an error of someone else.
I will walk in love, and have no fear.
Why because Father God is with me and will handle all my business today.
I choose to GEL...
